SALES POLICY

We take reservations on kids with no deposit needed. These reservations are first come, first served.

When the kid of choice has been born, you will be notified and will have 24 hours to place a deposit on said kid before the next person on the list and/or general public is given the option to purchase said kid.

A $100 deposit is required to hold a kid after birth, or to purchase breeding stock animals we have available.  The deposit can be made with a check, money order, cash, or PayPal.  Deposits are non-refundable.  The balance of said animal will be due at pickup.  We will NOT take a check at pickup, only cash.  We will, however, take a check as long as the check has had time to clear BEFORE pickup.  If there are any questions about our check policy or about deposits, please talk to us about this.

Green Acres, of course, reserves the right to retain any kid.  We do not accept deposits until the decision has been made to sell said kid after birth.  After a deposit has been received, the verbal contract will be honored by Green Acres and we will not change our mind on selling.  :)

Bucks will only be kept intact if a deposit has been placed prior to weaning, otherwise they will be wethered.  

Green Acres reserves the right to wether any buckling if he is not up to our breeding standards.  We also reserve the right to sell a doe kid as a pet without papers if not up to our standards.

Arrangements should be made to pick up your baby goat by the age of 8-10 weeks.  Our babies are weaned at the age of 8 weeks and should be leaving at that time to bond with their new family! 

We guarantee all of our animals health and soundness at the time of leaving the farm.  We cannot be held responsible for any sickness, injury, or death occurring after the animal has left our farm.  Since we cannot control any stress that may occur as a result of leaving our farm and going to a new environment or care or proper feeding and management, we cannot make further guarantees. 

The buyer's responsibilities will include the expense for shipping including the crate charge, health certificate(s), additional testing, and transport fees.

The seller's responsibilities will include guaranteed fertility of a breeding animal (genetic in origin and we require a vet report for replacement or refund), full disclosure of herd health test records, and show animals will be free of disqualifying faults at the time of purchase. 

Furthermore, Green Acres reserves the right to retain any kid born for our herd.  If a reservation has been taken for said kid, the reservation will be moved to another kidding of the buyers choice.  We reserve the right not to do business with anyone for any reason.  We cannot guarantee the show career or milk production of any animal.
